Boakye Kyerematen Agyarko, a key member of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), has raised concerns about the party's 'Thank You' Tour. He believes immediate action is needed to refocus this initiative.
Agyarko made his statement on April 28. The tour was intended to renew hope and reconnect with grassroots supporters. However, he noted that it has taken a troubling turn.
Instead of unity, the tour is marked by discord and blame-shifting. Agyarko fears this could damage the party’s reputation and unity. He stated, “What was intended to restore our party's shine is unraveling into discord.”
He emphasized that internal divisions risk eroding trust among Ghanaians. Therefore, he urged NPP leadership to act quickly to change the tour's direction.
Agyarko called for a reassessment of the tour to avoid an "imminent collision course." He suggested prioritizing genuine reconciliation and solidarity instead.
This new approach is crucial for preserving the party’s dignity and unity. “It is time to apply the brakes,” he said, urging for a renewed collective resolve.
He concluded by stressing that the mission of the Thank You Tour should honor their proud legacy.
