Adorye cited Article 3(9), claiming it unfairly permits members to contest as independent candidates
Hopeson Adorye, a senior aide to Alan Kyerematen and a key member of the Movement for Change, has strongly criticized the New Patriotic Party (NPP) constitution, calling it “useless.”
Speaking on Angel Morning Show, he alleged that the party’s constitution promotes favoritism and lacks fairness.
Adorye cited Article 3(9), claiming it unfairly permits members to contest as independent candidates but penalizes others for supporting independent presidential aspirants.
He described this inconsistency as proof of internal power struggles within the party.
Adorye further stated that he was expelled from the NPP for endorsing Alan Kyerematen’s independent bid, calling this enforcement of the rules hypocritical and damaging to the party’s democratic principles.
