NPP creating problems around Chief Justice Torkornoo – Inusah Fuseini

Former Tamale Central MP Inusah Fuseini criticized the New Patriotic Party (NPP). He accused the ruling party of politicizing discussions about Chief Justice Gertrude Torkornoo.

Speaking on JoyNews’ Newsfile, he expressed concern over the NPP’s defense of the Chief Justice. This comes amid growing debates about her position.

“It is wrong for a political party to protect the Chief Justice,” he said. He warned that this could harm public trust in the judiciary.

Fuseini believes the NPP's actions are inappropriate and damaging. “They suggest that the Chief Justice is sympathetic to the NPP,” he stated.

He lamented how this behavior affects Justice Torkornoo's image. She should be seen as impartial and independent, not biased. “They are doing Madam a disservice,” he added.

Fuseini also noted how polarized discussions about the judiciary have become. “It’s difficult to talk about the Chief Justice now,” he remarked.

In closing, he urged the NPP to reconsider their actions. “If they don’t see they are creating a problem, I’m telling them they are.”
