The New Patriotic Party (NPP) has called on its members to submit proposals for constitutional amendments. This is in preparation for an Extraordinary National Delegates Conference set for July 2025.
On April 25, 2025, General Secretary Justin Kodua Frimpong announced this initiative. He invited written proposals from members in a memorandum. He stated, “Pursuant to article 19(a) of the NPP Constitution, the Party is requesting its Members and Identifiable Groups wishing to propose amendments to submit their written proposal(s).”
All amendment proposals must go to the Office of the General Secretary at Party Headquarters. The party emphasized that the July conference will focus on reviewing these proposed amendments.
Frimpong noted that the conference will consider various amendment proposals as Motions for adoption. He added that the party aims to strengthen its internal structures through this process.
“The Party looks forward to receiving proposals for constitutional reforms,” he said. These reforms will help create a Revised Constitution addressing critical issues facing the NPP.
