Martin Wuoyang, the Nandom Constituency Secretary of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), has been reinstated. The Upper West Regional Executive Committee approved this decision unanimously.
The approval came during a meeting on April 27. Mr. Wuoyang had submitted a written apology to the party. His reinstatement follows calls from former MP Kennedy Agyapong to lift suspensions.
Wuoyang was initially suspended due to a petition to the Disciplinary Committee. This led to disciplinary action against him.
In a statement, the Upper West Regional NPP explained his reinstatement. They noted his respectful engagement with party structures and willingness to serve.
“The Committee made this decision based on your respect for the Disciplinary Committee,” they stated. They also acknowledged his interest in working for the party.
