The Disciplinary Committee of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) has postponed its hearing for Sarah Adwoa Safo.
She is the former Member of Parliament for Dome-Kwabenya. The committee had scheduled her appearance for Monday, April 7, 2025. This was in response to an invitation sent on March 24, 2025. She faces allegations of misconduct.
Safo is accused of violating a party directive. This directive prohibits members from making public statements that could harm the party's unity.
On Sunday, April 6, 2025, the committee issued a new letter about the change. The letter stated: “We wish to notify you that the said hearing has formally been postponed.”
The committee explained that scheduling adjustments and internal considerations led to this decision.
A new date for the hearing has not yet been announced. However, the party assured that they will revisit this matter soon.
This development raises concerns about internal discipline within the NPP as they prepare for important political activities ahead.
