NPP risks 2028 defeat if internal conflicts persist – Nitiwul warns

Bimbila MP Dominic Nitiwul has cautioned the New Patriotic Party (NPP) against internal divisions, warning that continued infighting could cost them the 2028 elections.

He believes the party has a rare opportunity to reorganize and address its issues, but failure to do so could keep them in opposition for years.

Speaking on Asempa FM, Nitiwul noted that the National Democratic Congress (NDC) remained united behind John Mahama, while NPP's internal struggles led to voter apathy.

He urged party members to avoid premature discussions about the next flagbearer and to resolve grievances internally, emphasizing that public disputes could be weaponized against them in future elections.

He stressed the need for unity in the NPP's hopes of reclaiming power.
