NPP’s 2024 election defeat: Committee presents investigative report to national leadership

A 12-member committee investigated the National Patriotic Party's (NPP) defeat in the 2024 elections. On April 16, they presented their findings to the party's national leadership.

The event took place at Alisa Hotel in Accra. Prof Aaron Mike Oquaye, the committee chairman, led the presentation.

Notable attendees included former President Nana Akufo-Addo and Vice President Dr. Bawumia. Other attendees were former Running Mate Dr. Matthew Opoku Prempeh and Minority Leader Alexander Afenyo-Markin.

The investigation aimed to identify reasons for the party's defeat. It also sought ways to prevent similar issues in future elections.

After presenting the findings, Prof Oquaye did not comment on the document. The party has not yet made the findings public.
