NPP to launch ‘Patriotic Institute’ to deepen ideals and national dev’t

The New Patriotic Party (NPP) will launch the 'Patriotic Institute' in May 2025. This initiative aims to enhance ideological education and build member capacity. The announcement was made by General Secretary Justin Kodua Frimpong during a tour in Takoradi.

Mr. Kodua stated that the Patriotic Institute is a significant step for the party. It will institutionalize political education and empower members with knowledge and leadership skills. He emphasized that it will promote patriotism within the party.

“The Patriotic Institute will be the intellectual engine of the NPP,” he said. It will focus on leadership training, research, and foundational principles like freedom and democracy. The Institute will also nurture young leaders and public servants committed to democratic values.

“This is about grooming a generation that understands governance,” Kodua added. The NPP’s Patriotic Institute plans to offer seminars, public lectures, and political education courses. It will engage scholars, political leaders, and development practitioners from Ghana and abroad.

Party officials view this launch as “timely and strategic.” The NPP aims to reposition itself for future challenges beyond just winning elections. Many see the Patriotic Institute as an investment in the party's intellectual future.

More details about its location, programs, and leadership will be revealed at the launch event.
