NPP to proceed with disciplinary action against Adwoa Safo – Haruna Mohammed

The Deputy General Secretary of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Haruna Mohammed, confirmed disciplinary action against Sarah Adwoa Safo. She is a former Member of Parliament for Dome-Kwabenya. This decision comes despite the postponement of her hearing.

On April 7, 2025, Adwoa Safo arrived at the party's headquarters. She found that the Disciplinary Committee was not in session. She expressed frustration about not being informed of any changes.

Haruna Mohammed clarified that formal notification was sent to her legal team. He spoke with Channel One Newsroom’s Frema Adunyame on April 9. He emphasized that disciplinary proceedings aim to resolve internal party matters.

He reiterated the party's commitment to due process in these cases. "The whole essence is about postponement," he said. "They will still invite her." He acknowledged her status as a respected senior member and promised respect and protocol during the process.
