The New Patriotic Party (NPP) wants clarity from the government. This is about allegations of drug trafficking at Ghana’s airports.
Justin Kodua Frimpong, the party’s General Secretary, shared this news. He spoke during an interview on Channel One TV on Sunday, April 6th.
Mr. Frimpong said the party has prepared 26 important questions. They plan to present these questions at a meeting on Monday, April 7th, at NPP headquarters.
He stated, “We will make those 26 questions available to the people of Ghana.”
He clarified that the meeting will not discuss former MP Sarah Adwoa Safo's disciplinary hearing. Instead, it will focus on serious allegations of narcotics activities.
These allegations have caused concern among party members and the public.
Mr. Frimpong criticized the government's handling of this situation. He noted inconsistencies and efforts to downplay critical issues.
He emphasized that party members are alarmed and demand transparency.
“There will be a meeting at NPP headquarters,” he said. “But it will not be about Adwoa Safo's appearance before a committee.”
“The party will focus on the worrying behavior of this government,” he added. “We have many unanswered questions about alleged drug trafficking at our airports.”
