Dr. Clement Apaak, Member of Parliament (MP) for Builsa South, has accused the New Patriotic Party (NPP) government of employing the 2025 mini-budget as leverage to pressure the Minority into supporting its proposals.
His remarks followed the Finance Minister’s failure to present the mini-budget in Parliament as planned.
Speaking on Citi FM, Dr. Apaak labeled the delay as manipulative and urged the government to prioritize national interests.
He criticized the NPP’s tactics, claiming they aim to compel the Minority to back controversial measures like tax exemptions.
Dr. Apaak expressed frustration over the Finance Minister’s repeated absences, noting it was the fourth day Parliament had waited for his presentation. He condemned the approach as detrimental to good governance.
