NPP will be better if the ‘demons’ are evicted from the party – Prof Frimpong-Boateng

Former Environment Minister, Prof. Kwabena Frimpong-Boateng, is demanding a total overhaul of the NPP’s leadership, blaming “bad elements” for the party’s crushing loss in the 2024 elections.

Speaking on Nhyira FM, he said all executives should resign for failing the party and the nation, warning that the NPP will continue to decline if such individuals remain in charge.

Prof. Boateng also criticized ex-President Akufo-Addo, describing him as dismissive and unwilling to listen to advice that could have changed Ghana’s fortunes.

He urged leaders to focus on building human capital to drive exports, rather than relying on internal revenue.

For him, governance boils down to applying “common sense minus corruption.” He believes sidelined but capable voices in the party must now be given space to lead.
