NPP will remain cursed until promise to Alan is honored – Kwame Owusu Danso

Kwame Owusu Danso is the running mate for the Movement for Change in the 2024 election. He believes Alan Kwadwo Kyerematen's departure from the New Patriotic Party (NPP) is a curse.

Danso claims that former President Akufo-Addo's choice of Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia over Kyerematen led to the NPP's defeat in the 2024 elections. He stated, "The NPP did not just lose; it was cursed by Nana Addo's actions."

According to Danso, Nana Addo promised to make Kyerematen the next flagbearer after his presidency. However, he ultimately disappointed Kyerematen by supporting Bawumia instead.

"Alan agreed to let Nana Addo lead and then take over as flagbearer," Danso explained. "Nana Addo failed that promise, which caused Alan to leave."

Mr. Danso urged Ghanaians to be patient as the new government works on restoring hope in the economy. He noted that it has been damaged over eight years.

"The economy has been destroyed for eight years," he said. "A collapsed building cannot be rebuilt in a few months."

He reassured Ghanaians that the Movement for Change will remain and bring political change to Ghana.
