NPP won’t survive if Akufo-Addo’s approach is used – Edudzi warns

Legal practitioner and National Democratic Congress (NDC) member, Godwin Edudzi Tameklo, has warned that outgoing New Patriotic Party (NPP) officials could face significant challenges if the incoming Mahama administration adopts the same aggressive tactics used by the Akufo-Addo government in 2017.

Speaking on TV3, he cited incidents where former officials, like Dr. Dominic Ayine, faced police harassment over legal advice they provided.

Edudzi urged patience with the recently announced Operation Recover All Loots (ORAL) team, assuring due process would be followed. He added that a balanced approach is critical to avoid chaos.

The ORAL team, tasked with collecting corruption evidence for state agencies, has faced criticism for being labeled populist and lacking legal backing, prompting calls for reliance on established institutions like EOCO and CHRAJ.
