Nana Bediatuo recovering after stroke in U.S.

Nana Asante Bediatuo, former Executive Secretary to President Akufo-Addo and Ambassador-at-Large, is recovering in the United States after suffering a stroke.

He fell ill during a UN event in New York in October 2024 and was hospitalized.

Despite initial concerns, a statement from the Jubilee House confirmed that he remained stable and was responding well to treatment.

Recent updates indicate that he is undergoing post-recovery therapy, including physical and speech therapy, to regain mobility and essential skills.

Bediatuo, a respected Akyem Abuakwa royal and seasoned lawyer, was among Akufo-Addo’s earliest appointees in 2017.
