Nana Yaa Jantuah challenges ex-Finance Minister on health excuse

Presidential staffer Nana Yaa Jantuah has dismissed the former Finance Minister’s claim of ill health as a reason for avoiding an investigation by the Office of the Special Prosecutor (OSP).

Recounting her own experience, she revealed that in 2017, despite suffering organ failure, she was taken from the hospital to the National Investigations Bureau (NIB) for questioning.

According to her, the former minister has no excuse and should either return to Ghana or engage with the OSP via Zoom.

The OSP is probing the former minister over alleged corruption during Nana Akufo-Addo’s administration.

Jantuah’s remarks have reignited discussions on accountability and the treatment of officials under investigation.
