National Chief Imam expresses condolence on Pope Francis’ death

The National Chief Imam, Sheikh Osman Nuhu Sharubutu, and the Muslim Community in Ghana have shared their condolences. They reached out to the Catholic Church in Ghana and the Vatican. They mourn the passing of Pope Francis.

The Chief Imam noted that the Pope's death is a significant loss. This loss affects the global interfaith community, especially the Abrahamic fraternity.

A press statement was issued by Dr. Mohammed Marzuq Abubakari Azindoo. He is the Personal Assistant to the National Chief Imam. The statement was shared with The Ghanaian Times yesterday.

The world will remember Pope Francis as an influential figure. His voice shaped international order in many areas, including moral leadership and human rights.

The late Pope stood for marginalized people. It was fitting that he called for an end to Gaza's atrocities before his death.
