National Prayer and Thanksgiving to be held July 1

President John Dramani Mahama inaugurated the National Prayer and Thanksgiving Committee on Friday.

This 32-member committee will coordinate the annual National Prayer and Thanksgiving Day. The event is scheduled for July 1 each year.

During the inauguration at the Presidency in Accra, President Mahama expressed gratitude. He noted that Ghana has enjoyed peace in a volatile region.

He emphasized that one of Ghana's greatest blessings is its harmony. People of different faiths—Christians, Muslims, and traditionalists—worship differently but unite as one. This unity is a national treasure we must cherish.
