Sylvia Patience Baah, Emirates Airlines’ Airport Services Manager in Accra, was abducted by operatives allegedly linked to Ghana’s National Security and National Intelligence Bureau (NIB) after refusing to delay a Dubai-bound flight for high-ranking officials.
The November 19 incident involved National Security officers Kwabena Adu-Boahene, Benjamin Ansah, and Rashida Saani Nasamu, who failed to board on time.
Despite threats, Sylvia enforced Emirates’ punctuality policy.
On November 21, she was abducted near her home, blindfolded, and interrogated for over 24 hours before being abandoned in Ashaiman.
Public outcry reportedly pressured her release.
While police claimed credit for her recovery, doubts persist, with allegations of interference by influential officials to suppress the case. Fears remain over justice for the victim.
