National Security must disclose contents of 2 Gran Canaria bound aircrafts - Assin South MP

Rev John Ntim Fordjour is the former Deputy Minister of Education. He is also the current Member of Parliament for Assin South. He has called for transparency from National Security about two flights that landed in Ghana in early March. These flights departed for Gran Canaria, a Spanish island, on March 25.

The flights included an air ambulance and a private jet. They allegedly stayed in Ghana for several days before leaving. This raised concerns about their purpose and cargo.

On JoyNews’ The Pulse on April 1, Mr Fordjour stressed the need for consistent disclosures. He demanded more information about the planes involved.

“We have provided the registration numbers and details of these aircraft,” he said. “We even shared when they landed and when they departed.”

Mr Fordjour insisted on full disclosure of all relevant information. He urged authorities to clarify the situation.

“It is important that those in charge make full disclosures,” he stated.

He questioned, “If there is nothing to hide, why not share all details? What prevents them from making such disclosures? The longer they avoid providing information, the more suspicious it becomes.”

He reiterated the importance of transparency in government affairs. Leaders should maintain openness in all governance matters.

"It is crucial that we uphold transparency in every matter of governance," he concluded.
