National Security officials storm Lakeside after Sunday's deadly floods

Officials from the National Security visited Lakeside in Adentan Municipality. This visit followed a deadly flood on Sunday. The flood claimed three lives and destroyed homes, shops, and belongings.

The officials toured the affected areas on Monday, May 19. They were sent by the President to assess the damage. Their goal is to report back for urgent action.

Residents blame engineers for the flooding. They say the East Legon Hills road construction diverted all drains to one outlet. This design led to heavy flooding in the area.

Many residents believe the drainage system was poorly designed. Multiple water channels were diverted into a single outlet, causing problems.
