National Security storm Chairman Wontumi’s residence

A team of National Security operatives and police officers has raided the home of Bernard Antwi Boasiako. He is known as Chairman Wontumi, the Ashanti Regional Chairman of the New Patriotic Party (NPP).

The operation is ongoing. Security personnel have surrounded the premises. The reasons for the raid are still unclear.

It is not confirmed if Chairman Wontumi is inside the house. Hafiz Tijani, a journalist from Channel One TV, reported from the scene.

Tension is high in the area. Heavily armed officers maintain a strong presence around the compound. More details will follow soon.
