National Security urges repairs of Afalo-Togo border potholes

Hajia Rashida Mahama is the Head of Monitoring and Intelligence at the National Security Secretariat. She has urged the Minister for Roads and Highways to fix the roads at the Ghana-Togo border in Aflao.

Hajia Rashida made this appeal during a visit to the border. She assessed infrastructure and operations as part of her nationwide monitoring tour. This tour focuses on key transit points that generate state revenue.

She expressed concern about the poor road conditions in the area. Numerous potholes pose risks to transporters, commuters, and national security personnel stationed there.

“Aflao is a vital entry and exit point for goods and services,” she said. “It is important that areas contributing significantly to our national revenue are safe and accessible.”

Hajia Rashida also assured national security operatives of her commitment to improving their working conditions. She pledged to prioritize their welfare and provide necessary logistics for their duties.

Her visit highlights the government’s efforts to enhance efficiency, security, and revenue protection at key border points across the country.
