Nations FC considering quitting Ghana football - Brands Manager hints

Kennedy Boakye Ansah is the Brands Manager of Nations Football Club. He stated that "running football in Ghana" is not worth the investment. This comment followed chaos during a recent Ghana Premier League match.

Nations FC walked off the pitch against Holy Stars. This happened after Holy Stars received a second controversial penalty. The decision angered Nations FC players and coaching staff.

Tension peaked in the 33rd minute when the penalty was awarded. The club released a statement explaining their actions afterward.

In an interview on 3FM, Boakye Ansah mentioned they might reconsider competing in the league. He also said they would file an official complaint with the Ghana Football Association.

He expressed frustration, saying, "Maybe we might disband Nations FC." He added that what happened during the match was unacceptable.

Boakye Ansah noted they would wait for the match commissioner's report before proceeding. He emphasized their growing disinterest in Ghana football, stating, "We are tired."

The match took place at Ampain AAK II Arena and was crucial for Kassim Mingle's team. They needed at least a draw to keep their title hopes alive with one round left.
