Nene Osroagbo Djangmah II, Royal Majesty for Ningo Traditional Area

The kingmakers of the Ningo Traditional Area have chosen Nene Osroagbo Djangmah XII as their Paramount Chief. He will also serve as President of the Ningo Traditional Council.

Nene Djangmah XII succeeds Nene Osroagbo Djangmah II, who passed away in 2005. The new chief is 56 years old and known privately as Abednego Tawiah Gblie Osroagbo. His appointment was officially announced by the National House of Chiefs on March 28, 2025.

The enstoolment ceremony was colorful and peaceful. It took place at the Ningo Traditional Council with traditional songs and musket fire. This event marked two decades without a Paramount Chief.

Key figures at the ceremony included Nana Dugbakuwor Dugba II and Nene Tei Atiapah II. Both expressed excitement about this new chapter for Ningo after years of litigation over succession.

In his speech, Nene Djangmah XII thanked the kingmakers and people of Ningo. He said, “The time to rebuild Great Ningo has begun.” He invited all Ningos, both home and abroad, to return and help restore their community's glory.

He emphasized his commitment to serving the people and using his expertise for their benefit. With support from everyone, he believes they can make Ningo great again.

As a commercial farmer, he received loud cheers from the crowd. He urged different factions in the area to seek peace and called for a future reunion homecoming.
