New Dunkwa ‘Nifahene’ advocates gov’t, chiefs partnership to fight illegal mining

Nana Mensah Aninin - Dunkwa Nifahene

Nana Mensah Aninin is the new Nifahene of Dunkwa-On-Offin. He was installed during the Akwasidae celebration last Sunday.

He recommends strong collaboration between the government and traditional leaders. This partnership aims to combat illegal mining in Ghana. He also suggests addressing drug abuse among the youth.

According to Nana Aninin, the government cannot fight these issues alone. Chiefs and other stakeholders must be involved in this effort.

As Caretaker chief of Accra Town, he is committed to discipline among the youth. He wants to sanitize society from immorality and illegal activities.

He emphasized that political parties should stop politicizing security matters. Collaboration with chiefs is essential in fighting drug abuse and illegal mining. This includes protecting forest reserves and water bodies.

Nana Mensah Aninin thanked Dunkwahene Obeng Nuako III for his support. He urged elders and subjects to rally behind him for development. His goal is to elevate Dunkwa-On-Offin to an enviable status.

He advised the youth to stay away from drugs. He also called on the Ghana Police to ensure regular personnel transfers. This will help prevent officers from becoming too familiar with local communities.

Dunkwahene Obeng Nuako III encouraged Nana Aninin to be courageous and honest. He urged him to protect his forebears' legacy by involving elders in decision-making.

The Dunkwahene also advised Nana Aninin to be careful in his role as Nifahene. He should focus on developmental growth for the Dunkwa Traditional Area.
