Mr. Wisdom Seade is the new Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) for Keta. He recently met with various government institutions in the Volta Region. His goal was to introduce himself and discuss development issues.
The institutions he visited included the Ghana Police Service, Ambulance Service, and Municipal Hospital. He also met with the National Commission for Civic Education, Nurses and Midwifery Training College, and Ghana Education Service.
In an interview with the Ghana News Agency, Mr. Seade shared his positive experiences from his first two days at work. He believes collaboration among workers will help the assembly progress.
"My first day as MCE was interesting," he said. "I met with key departments to discuss our way forward."
Mr. Seade's visits aimed to understand successes and challenges in each institution. He wants to take immediate action for municipal development.
He noted that he previously served as an assembly member. Now, as MCE, he feels it's important to know his team well before Easter break.
Serious administrative work will begin after Easter. He urged all heads of institutions and workers to prepare for action.
The MCE emphasized that the assembly is committed to addressing challenges alongside local leaders like MP Kwame Dzudzorli Gakpe and Presiding Member Christopher Mensah. He encouraged public support to achieve their goals.
Plans will be outlined to improve infrastructure, education, economic development, sports, agriculture, and health services in Keta. The aim is to create a better living environment for residents.
Mr. Seade praised Mr. Innocent Gawuah, the Coordinating Director, and other assembly workers for their past support. He called for continued collaboration to address challenges in Keta.
Heads of institutions expressed satisfaction with Mr. Seade's visit during meetings with GNA reporters. They pledged cooperation for progress in Keta municipality.
They viewed his engagement as a sign of commitment from the assembly to work closely with other government bodies for effective solutions.
