New cocoa producer price not yet out – COCOBOD

The Ghana Cocoa Board (COCOBOD) has denied claims about a new cocoa price. They called these reports false and misleading.

In an official statement on Thursday, COCOBOD clarified that no price change has been approved. The necessary administrative framework is still incomplete.

COCOBOD pointed out two important issues. First, there is no functional Board of Directors to approve any changes. Second, the Producer Price Review Committee has not yet been formed.

“Without these key bodies operational, any announcement of a new producer price is impossible and unauthorized,” the statement said.

The Board urged the public and media to ignore unverified claims. They advised everyone to wait for official communication through proper channels.
