New lecture hall commissioned at Artillery Training School in Akoefe

The Artillery Training School at Akoefe, near Ho, has new infrastructure. A newly constructed lecture hall was commissioned to enhance training for military personnel.

The ceremony was brief but significant. Lieutenant Colonel Patrick Atuiri, the school's commander, highlighted the project's importance. He noted that existing facilities could not accommodate the growing number of trainees.

“Our lecture halls have struggled to hold all students,” Lt. Col. Atuiri said. “This expansion will greatly enhance our academic and tactical training.”

The upgrade includes an Instructors Common Room and an office for the Training Warrant Officer. There are also separate ablution units for male and female personnel. This improves conditions for both staff and students.

Lt. Col. Atuiri thanked everyone involved in the project’s completion. He acknowledged Glico Group Company Limited and Mr. Cephas Kafui Apenuvor for their support. He also recognized Artillery Officers, Soldiers of UNISFA GH 3, and the Ghana Artillery Officers Association.

Brigadier General Samuel Yeboah Asare attended as Guest of Honour. He praised the leadership and staff for their commitment to excellence. He stated that this project is a significant step forward in improving training for the Ghana Armed Forces.

“This initiative will greatly improve teaching and learning,” he said. “I urge all troops to use this facility well and maintain it.”
