Nhyiaeso MP and Deputy Finance Minister Dr. Stephen Amoah reportedly pulled a gun in self-defense after being accosted by youth armed with toy guns at Atasemanso.

The incident occurred as the youth demanded updates on an ongoing Astroturf project in the area.

Luv FM sources revealed that constituents, including party supporters, had gathered at the MP’s campaign grounds, firing toy guns in the air during the event.

NPP Constituency Spokesperson Jimmy Boakye Ansah confirmed the MP's response, explaining it was in self-defense after an otherwise cordial interaction.

The Ghana Police Service has since cautioned the public against brandishing toy guns, labeling it an offense under the Criminal Offences Act.

This follows the recent arrest of 26 individuals for similar actions in Kumasi.
