Nigeria's Trans Niger oil pipeline is fully restored. It is now working normally. This follows a blast that ruptured it last week. Renaissance spokesperson Tony Okonedo confirmed this on Tuesday.
The Trans Niger Pipeline (TNP) can handle about 450,000 barrels per day. It is one of two pipelines that export Bonny Light crude from Nigeria. Nigeria is Africa's biggest oil producer.
After the blasts on March 19, oil output was rerouted. The main link was damaged, so an alternative line was used. The Nigerian oil consortium Renaissance Group owns the pipeline now. They took over Shell's former onshore subsidiary that operated it.
