Former Defence Minister and MP for Bimbilla, Dominic Nitiwul, has accused the government of using the military to intimidate citizens, including himself.
Speaking in Parliament on February 12, he revealed that armed soldiers had been trailing him, raising concerns about democracy in Ghana.
His claims follow a recent military raid on the home of former Finance Minister Ken Ofori-Atta, an incident that has sparked outrage and fears of political persecution.
The government has remained silent on both cases, but critics, especially from the previous administration, see a troubling pattern of militarized intimidation against political figures.
