The chiefs and people of Nkusukum Traditional Area are thrilled. Their son, Professor Ransford Edward Van Gyampo, has been appointed CEO of Ghana Shippers Authority. President John Mahama made the appointment, which is welcomed by Saltpond residents.
A statement from Okogyeman Okese Essandoh IX praised Prof. Gyampo. He described him as bold, articulate, and hardworking. The Omanhen called the appointment significant for national development.

Okogyeman Okese Essandoh IX pointed out a historical trend in Mfantseman Constituency. Previous MPs have often received ministerial appointments from both political sides.
He urged President Mahama to consider Dr. Prince Arhin for a ministerial role. This request comes as the president approaches his promised limit of 60 appointees.
