No law Bars MPs from serving on BoG Board – Attah Issah

Attah Issah, the MP for Sagnarigu, has dismissed claims from the Minority Caucus. They allege that Isaac Adongo's roles as Committee Chairman and board member of the Bank of Ghana create a conflict of interest.

On May 19, Issah spoke on Citi Eyewitness News. He stated that no law prevents an MP from serving on the central bank's board. He emphasized that this includes committee chairpersons.

Issah criticized the Minority for raising these issues publicly. He believes such matters should be resolved internally within the Committee. He noted that since January, there have been no concerns about conflict of interest.

The Minority has not provided any legal basis for their claims. According to Issah, they failed to point out any breach of law.
