Deputy Attorney-General Dr. Justice Srem Sai has underscored the need for due process, cautioning against treating individuals as guilty before a court ruling.
His comments follow the arrest of former National Signals Bureau (NSB) Director-General, Kwabena Adu Boahene, by the Economic and Organised Crime Office (EOCO). Boahene was detained at Kotoka International Airport upon his arrival from London.
Dr. Srem Sai, who visited Boahene and his wife, Angela Adjei-Boateng, assured that they were receiving legal representation and fair treatment.
He reiterated that all suspects must be presumed innocent until proven guilty by a court of law.
