Presidential Staffer Nana Yaa Jantuah has dismissed claims of intimidation. This follows the attempted arrest of Assin South MP, Reverend John Ntim Fordjour. The National Investigations Bureau (NIB) tried to arrest him at his home in Accra on April 9, 2025.

Rev. Fordjour had raised concerns about two suspicious flights. He suggested these flights were linked to drug trafficking and money laundering at Kotoka International Airport.

A former General Secretary of the Convention People’s Party criticized Rev. Fordjour's actions. She called them wrong and inappropriate, stating he should not use media for such claims.

“Don’t use the media to talk about your country’s image,” she said. “If you have concerns, trust the Speaker and bring them up.”

She questioned Rev. Fordjour’s claims further, asking, “Who would leave a plane with cocaine for five days? It doesn’t make sense.”

Madam Jantuah emphasized that if Rev. Fordjour had real evidence, he should follow proper channels instead of going to the media.

“No one is intimidating anybody,” she stated in an interview on Adom FM’s Dwaso Nsem. “He needs to stand firm; if innocent, the truth will come out.”

She also expressed concern about the timing of these accusations. She wondered why similar claims were not made during previous governments.

“Who has actually done anything to someone apart from Fordjour?” she asked.

Jantuah noted that Rev. Fordjour's actions could have serious implications for travel safety. “Now travelers may be searched as if they’ve done something wrong because he has tarnished our country’s image.”
