Minister for National Security Albert Kan-Dapaah has urged a strategic, apolitical approach in combating terrorism across Africa, emphasizing that African terrorism often threatens land and community stability, unlike the symbolic attacks more common in the West.
Speaking at a security meeting with officials from Ghana and Mali, he noted Mali's
experience as essential in strengthening West Africa's anti-terrorism efforts.
Kan-Dapaah highlighted the urgency for regional cooperation, especially given challenges within ECOWAS and the Alliance of Sahel States’ (AES) formation.
Mali’s National Security Minister, General Aly Mohammedine, praised Ghana’s commitment to regional security, underscoring the importance of solidarity in overcoming terrorism’s borderless threat.
