Samuel Okudzeto-Ablakwa, the MP for North Tongu Constituency, is committed to education. He has donated laptops to teachers in rural communities within his constituency.
A total of 36 teachers will benefit from this initiative. It aims to support educators who accept postings to underserved areas.
“This gesture shows appreciation for teachers in rural communities,” said Mr. Ablakwa. “We want them to feel welcomed and valued.”
The laptop donation is part of a larger strategy to improve education in North Tongu. Mr. Ablakwa plans to introduce more teacher-focused programs soon.
These include professional development, scholarship schemes, and annual awards for excellence in teaching. “These policies aim to retain and motivate teachers,” he added. “Ultimately, we want to improve the quality of education for our children.”
