Another Devastating Road Crash Claims 8 Lives at New Ayaase

Eight people died in a road crash at New Ayaase. The accident occurred on Tuesday, April 22, 2025. It involved three vehicles: a Sprinter van, a long bus, and a Toyota Corolla.

The Sprinter was traveling from Kumasi to Fosu. It attempted to overtake the Toyota Corolla heading towards Fomena. During this maneuver, it collided head-on with an oncoming long bus from Kumasi.

The impact was severe. Isaac Adjei, the Assembly Member for Fomena East Electoral Area, reported that the Sprinter split into two. One half of the vehicle somersaulted off the road.

Emergency services responded to the scene promptly. Investigations into the cause of the crash are ongoing.
