Defence Minister Dr. Omane Boamah has responded to Rev. Ntim Fordjour.
Rev. Fordjour is the Ranking Member of the Defence and Interior Committee in Parliament. He recently claimed that Ghana is now a drug trafficking hub. He said this began when the National Democratic Congress (NDC) took power.
President John Dramani Mahama confirmed a cocaine bust worth $350 million. He instructed security agencies to collaborate with Rev. Fordjour on his allegations.
In a social media post, Dr. Omane Boamah accused Rev. Fordjour of lying. He believes these claims stem from dislike for the Mahama administration.
Dr. Boamah urged Rev. Fordjour to repent for his falsehoods. He stated, “Rev. Ntim Fordjour, repent! Your lies will not stand!”
He criticized Rev. Fordjour for making reckless allegations based on untruths. These claims seem motivated by hatred for President Mahama’s government.
Dr. Boamah questioned how a Reverend could engage in smear campaigns and sensationalism. He urged him to seek facts before speaking out.
He also mentioned that video evidence disproves Rev. Fordjour's claims about aircrafts involved in drug trafficking, saying, “You know you’ve lied!”
