Kwakye Ofosu discussed the second aircraft involved. It was a Hawker 800XP. This plane is operated by AirMed International, a medical flight service from Alabama, USA.
The aircraft landed at Kotoka International Airport (KIA) on March 20. It traveled from Grand Canaria, Spain, via Luanda, Angola. The stop in Ghana was for refueling and crew rest. This is a normal and legitimate procedure.
The aircraft received clearance to land in Ghana with number GAFTWXR252604OFAA0297/25. While landing, it experienced a tire burst due to landing gear issues. As a result, it needed repairs before continuing its journey.
Kwakye Ofosu dismissed claims made by NPP MP Rev. Ntim Fordjour. He called these claims desperate attempts to help the party politically. He warned Ghanaians against believing misinformation.
“The claims are false and unprovable,” he stated. “That’s why he avoids investigative bodies.” He accused the NPP of using lies to recover from their December 2024 election defeat.
The Minister emphasized the government's commitment to transparency. He urged the public to trust official investigations over political propaganda.
