Rev. John Ntim Fordjour is the Ranking Member of Parliament’s Defence and Interior Committee. He has invited several security agencies to brief the committee.
These agencies include National Security, NIB, Police CID, and the Narcotics Control Commission. A letter dated April 2, 2025, was sent to them. They are requested to attend a meeting on April 7, 2025.
Fordjour wants updates on major ongoing investigations. One topic is the gold and cash bust at Sapeiman on February 9, 2025.
He also seeks information about two significant cocaine busts in March. One bust involved cocaine worth $350 million and another worth $120 million.
Additionally, he wants details on two suspicious flights that landed at Kotoka International Airport. These flights are AirMed Flight n823AM and Covok Air Antonov AN-128.
This invitation follows a presidential directive for these agencies to collaborate. The president made this request regarding drug trafficking allegations on April 1, 2025.
