The Narcotics Control Commission (NACOC) has rejected claims by Rev. Ntim Fordjour. The Assin South MP alleged that two aircraft were smuggling drugs into Ghana.
President John Dramani Mahama responded by instructing security agencies to investigate. He asked them to work with the MP on this matter.
Felix Ofosu Kwakye, Minister of State for Government Communication, dismissed the allegations. He called them “baseless” and accused the MP of spreading misinformation.
Government officials have repeatedly denied these claims. They urged Fordjour to provide evidence to support his allegations.
In an interview on Citi FM's Eyewitness News, Alexander Twum Barimah spoke out against the claims. He is the Deputy Director General of NACOC.
He stated that Fordjour was misinformed and called his statements a fallacy. Barimah emphasized that there was no credible evidence for the accusations.
The Commission urged the public to disregard these claims as unfounded. Haruna Mohammed claimed there is enough evidence to support Fordjour’s allegations.
