OSP’s denial of Ofori-Atta’s medical report is ‘a blatant falsehood’ – Frank Davies

Frank Davies, legal counsel for former Finance Minister Ken Ofori-Atta, has denied claims from the Office of the Special Prosecutor (OSP). The OSP stated it had not received a medical report justifying Ofori-Atta’s absence. On June 2, they alleged that he failed to submit documentation for his health-related excuse.

Special Prosecutor Kissi Agyebeng accused Ofori-Atta of acting in bad faith. He said the office's patience had "been exhausted."

In a response on Citi Eyewitness News on June 6, Davies insisted that the medical report was filed. He claimed it was served to the OSP as part of court documents on May 27, 2025.

Davies called the OSP's statement a "blatant falsehood." He expressed concern about someone in such a public office making such claims.

He described the situation as "distressing" and urged the OSP to be more professional. He emphasized that the medical report was included in court filings submitted on May 27.

Davies suggested that if Agyebeng did not see it, he must not read court processes thoroughly. He reiterated that claiming no medical report exists is simply untrue.
