Legal practitioner Martin Kpebu has urged a critical review of the Office of the Special Prosecutor (OSP) following its delayed action against former Finance Minister Ken Ofori-Atta.
Speaking on Eyewitness News, he stressed that public excitement over the OSP’s recent corruption probe is misplaced, arguing that the office had ample time to act but failed.
Kpebu questioned why straightforward procurement issues, such as the single-sourced contract to Strategic Mobilization Limited (SML), took years to investigate.
He insisted that the OSP itself must be scrutinized for its handling of high-profile corruption cases, cautioning against premature praise for Special Prosecutor Kissi Agyebeng.
According to Kpebu, real accountability demands more than just belated action.
