The Special Prosecutor, Kissi Agyebeng, has started the process for an INTERPOL red notice. This could lead to the international arrest of former Finance Minister Ken Ofori-Atta. - Ambulance Procurement: A contract with Service Ghana Auto Group Limited for 307 ambulances.
- GRA Tax P-Fund Management: Handling funds from the GRA's Tax P-Fund Account.
### Timeline of Events
January 2025: The OSP notified Mr. Ofori-Atta he was a suspect in five cases. They requested his appearance by February 10.
January 31, 2025: His lawyers informed the OSP he was abroad indefinitely for medical reasons. They offered to represent him while he was away.
February 5, 2025: The OSP rejected this claim and demanded a return date by February 10. They warned of legal consequences if he did not comply.
February 10, 2025: His lawyers submitted a doctor's note stating he needed tests and possibly surgery but provided no clear return date.
February 12, 2025: Due to lack of cooperation, the OSP declared Mr. Ofori-Atta a fugitive from justice based on an arrest warrant.
February 18, 2025: Mr. Ofori-Atta appealed to be removed from the ‘Wanted List’. He provided a definite return date in May, which the OSP accepted.
### Legal Challenge
March 2025: Mr. Ofori-Atta filed a lawsuit against the OSP and Kissi Agyebeng. He sought compensation for being unlawfully declared wanted and requested removal of related content from social media platforms.
March 28, 2025: The Human Rights Court heard his interim application asking to restrain the OSP from declaring him wanted again.
