Odai Ntow's family warns gov't officials over sale of state lands at KIA

The Odai Ntow family, representing the Ga State, has condemned the alleged sale of state lands. This includes lands belonging to important government institutions.

On March 24, 2025, they held a press conference at the Kwabenya Queenmother’s Palace. Nii Ayi Ana Konteh II, speaking for the family, accused former officials of selling prime state lands. These lands are near Kotoka International Airport and other key locations.

The family called these transactions illegal. They demanded immediate action to stop the sales and investigate those involved.

Nii Ayi Ana Konteh II questioned if the Ghana Atomic Energy Commission is now acting as the Lands Commission. He stated that some leaders within the commission are demarcating and selling Ga lands unlawfully. These leaders are issuing documents as proof of ownership for lands that belong to the commission.

The family reported that plots measuring 70 by 80 feet have been sold at high prices without proper authorization.

They urged His Excellency John Dramani Mahama and his government to investigate these unlawful land transactions. The group wants swift action to reclaim public lands that were allegedly sold off.

The press conference concluded with a strong demand for accountability. The Odai Ntow family vowed to continue fighting for justice and protecting state lands.
