Ogyeahoho Yaw Gyebi II, Paramount Chief of Sefwi Anhwiaso Traditional Area, has been re-elected as President of the National House of Chiefs.
In the November 22 election, he secured 42 votes, defeating Dormaahene Osagyefo Agyemang Badu II, who received 30 votes.
Buipewura Abdulai Jinapor II was elected Vice President with 54 out of 73 votes.
Despite initial objections over the election’s timing, a motion resolved the concerns, allowing the vote to proceed.
Ogyeahoho Yaw Gyebi II pledged to promote unity, safeguard Ghana’s cultural heritage, and digitize the House’s operations for improved efficiency.
He also emphasized the need for peaceful national elections and vowed to address pending litigation issues comprehensively. .
