A youth group from the National Democratic Congress (NDC) in Okaikwei North is concerned. They will withdraw support if their candidate, Abdul-Rashid Issah, is not appointed as Municipal Chief Executive.
Speculation surrounds the potential appointment of a candidate from a nearby constituency. The group held a media briefing in Accra on Sunday, April 13. They accused the NDC of neglecting their contributions to the party's success.
Abass Yusif Hussein, the Branch Executive and spokesperson for the group, spoke out. He said that Abdul-Rashid would promote inclusiveness and participatory governance. He warned that bypassing Abdul-Rashid would lead to disappointment and resistance among party members.
